Deposco Support Analyst, Kenny DumontSubmitted by Kenny Dumont on Fri, 08/20/2010 - 14:31
A couple of months ago, I was getting ready to graduate from Georgia Tech with no idea what I wanted to do with my life. Having no idea about Deposco or even the supply chain solutions industry in general, I had no idea what I would be getting myself into… Fast Forward.
Today, I find myself wrapping up my first week as a Support Analyst here at Deposco. Earlier this week, I was able to meet with everyone at Deposco ranging from the CEO himself, Chris Clark, to software engineer and fellow Tech alumni, Vjekoslav Levacic. With a still small, but growing number of employees, I was able to interact with everyone here at Deposco, a pleasure I don’t think I could have had anywhere else. Most of this week, I have been trying to learn as much as I can about Deposco and its systems. Since no two warehouses are the same and each customer comes with a unique set of processes, it’s been a challenging task, but with help from Head of Support, Courtney Meeks, I have been able to learn quite a bit. With an intense training plan set up and in place, I am on schedule to be able to hold my own within a couple of weeks. After finishing up my first week, I’ve got a good idea what I will be doing over the next month or so. Next week, I’ll be continuing my training and trying to learn the systems. The week after, I will be flying to Arkansas to visit Deposco’s first ever client, Scottish Christmas Sports, for a week of “hands on” experience. I will be writing about my training and experience while at SC Sports. Overall, it’s been a real busy and challenging first week… But I like busy… and I like challenges. Until next time.
