Privacy policy

Deposco has created a privacy policy in order to demonstrate its firm commitment to privacy. The policy discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for our websites. This policy addresses only our activities with respect to information that we can access and control because it resides on our servers. This policy is incorporated in, and subject to, the Terms of Use on each of the Deposco websites.

I. Information gathering

We do not collect any information from individuals who wish to browse our site without registering. In order to use our services, however, you must become a registered member. Additional information is collected as it is needed to process your requests for information or for other products or services. We collect personally identifiable information from you in connection with the registration process and other areas of our sites in which users voluntarily provide content submissions or suggestions or otherwise participate in interactive online activities (including, but not limited to, community postings, voting, chat, online ordering, surveys, discussion participation, and bulletin boards). We may also collect and store statistics and other information about the online activities of our users on an aggregate basis. In order to take full advantage of our services, you must register with us and certify that you are over 18 years old. We do not intend to obtain any personal information from minors. If you are under the age of 18, please do not provide us with any personal information. When you register, we collect basic information such as your name, address, date of birth, and e-mail address.

II. Use of information gathered

As a general rule, Deposco will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information except when we have your permission or under special circumstances and will never sell or otherwise transfer your information to unaffiliated companies, except as provided below. Deposco uses your personal information primarily to provide you with a customized experience on our sites. This may include personalization services, interactive communications, online ordering, and many other types of services. We may also use such information to facilitate transactions, to track compliance with our Terms of Use, to provide editorial feedback, for research purposes or for marketing and promotional purposes, and such information may be shared with our advertisers, business partners, or other affiliates, as described more fully below. Promotions that run on our sites may be sponsored by companies other than Deposco, or may be co-sponsored by Deposco and another company. Some or all of your personal information that is collected during a promotion may be shared with the sponsor. If you do not want your information to be shared, you must not participate in the promotion. Many promotions also offer opportunities to request additional information from sponsors. By requesting additional information, you give Deposco permission to transfer your personal information to the sponsor so they can fulfill your request. If you link from our site to any advertiser or merchant site for purchases or other interaction, the information obtained during your visit to those merchants, and the information you give such as your credit card number and contact information, is available to those merchants and is subject to their privacy policies. Deposco has no responsibility or liability for these independent policies and the information practices of those advertisers, merchants, and other websites are not covered by this Privacy Policy. Deposco may collect information on our users’ demographics, interests, and behavior in order to better understand and serve our users. This information is compiled and analyzed on an aggregated basis, and may be shared with our business partners or other affiliates, but contains no personally-identifying information. Deposco may also disclose information about you in special cases when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who is violating our Terms of Use or our Online Service Agreement, who is infringing or misappropriating our legal rights, is injuring or interfering with the property of Deposco or third parties, where there is a risk of injury to you, Deposco, or third parties, or when required by law. The description of our use of your personally identifiable information above is not exclusive. Particular sites or particular programs or services within our sites may use your information in ways not described above. III. User contact

Occasionally we may send you e-mail communications to provide information that we think you will find useful. You can choose not to receive future e-mails from Deposco at any time, by contacting Deposco customer service. However, to the extent that corrected or deleted information is also stored in other databases, we cannot always ensure that such corrections or deletions will immediately reach the other databases. Please note that we may occasionally contact you for administrative purposes even if you unsubscribe from our distribution lists.

IV. Cookies

Cookies are small files that are stored by your Web browser to help a particular system recognize you and the pages you visited in a Web site. The Web Site uses “cookies” to make your online experience more convenient. For example, we use a cookie to store your login information between sessions and to maintain information about the quotes that you’ve requested during your session. Strict security measures are employed whenever your personal information is collected and transmitted. Your Deposco account information and Deposco profiles are password-protected so that only you have access to your personal information. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone. Also remember to sign out of your Deposco account and close your browser window when you have finished your work, especially if you share a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a public place like a library or Internet cafe to help prevent others from accessing your personal information and correspondence. In addition to password protection, Deposco employs cutting edge encryption standards (such as Transport Layer Security (TLS)) to ensure that particularly sensitive data, such as community and commerce registration and profile information and all related product ordering and product management transactions, exchanged between your computer and our servers is secure. In these highly secure areas of the site, both our servers and your computer encrypt the data before it is transferred across the Internet. We take these measures to safeguard the confidentiality of your personally identifiable information. Keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online – for example on message boards, discussion groups, through e-mail, or in chat areas – that information can be collected and used by others. In short, if you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return. Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and/or any account information.

Deposco reserves the right to modify or supplement this Privacy Policy statement at any time. If we make any material modification hereof, we will update this page with a notice of such changes and how they would affect the security and disclosure of your personal information.

Use of Deposco’s Web sites, its software, products, and services are provided “as is.” Deposco, its partners, and affiliates cannot be held liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, or consequential damage or other injury arising out of or in any way connected with the use of its Web site.
